Webmaster

A webmaster is a person responsible for maintaining one or many websites. The duties of the webmaster may include ensuring that the web servers, hardware and software are operating accurately, designing the website, generating and revising web pages, replying to user comments, and examining traffic through the site. Webmasters also heavily deal with high volumes of email, often related to important web or computer-related questions.

                                                        






Computer Support Specialist

Computer support specialists help people use computers. When something goes wrong, support specialists figure out why. Then, they try to fix it. They also install printers, software, and other computer tools. Most computer specialists work in offices or computer labs. Computer specialists normally work a 40-hour work week, but that can include being "on call" by phone when they are not on their shift.
           
 

Technical Writer

A technical writer is a professional writer who designs, creates, and maintains technical documentation. Engineers, scientists, and other professionals may also produce technical writing, usually handing their work to a professional technical writer for proofreading, editing, and formatting. A technical writer produces technical documentation for technical, business, and consumer audiences.

 

Software Enginner

A software engineer is an engineer who applies the principles of software enginnering to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the software and systems that make computers or anything containing software. Most software engineers work as employees or contractors.

 

Network Administrator

A network administrator is a person responsible for the maintenance of computer hardware and software that comprises a computer network. The actual role of the Network Administrator will vary from company to company, but will commonly include activities and tasks. The administrator is responsible for the security of the network and for assigning IP addresses to the devices connected to the networks.

 

Database Administrator

A database administrator is a person responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance and repair of an organization's database. The role includes the development and design of database strategies, monitoring and improving database performance and capacity, and planning for future expansion requirements. Some organizations have a hierarchical level of database administrator

 

System Analyst

A systems analyst researches problems, plans solutions, recommends software and systems, and coordinates development to meet business or other requirements. They will be familiar with multiple variety of programming languages, operating systems, and computer hardware platforms. They may be responsible for developing cost analysis, design considerations, and implementation time-lines.

 

Programmer

A programmer, computer programmer or coder is someone who writes computer software. One who practices or professes a formal approach to programming may also be known as a programmer analyst. The need for programmers, system administrators, designers and network architects is only going to increase. Our global community has ever more information it needs to collect, compile and share.
